So, About Me
Let’s get one thing straight: I am not one of those people who quit their job, sold their belongings, and “found themselves” backpacking through Southeast Asia for eight months. Good for them. Genuinely. But some of us have a boss, a notice period, and exactly 18-21 days of annual leave to work with — and this blog is for that person.
By day, I’m a nerdy data analyst, which is a polite way of saying I plan trips the way I plan everything else: with a spreadsheet, a budget that gets interrogated line by line, and a firm belief that a long weekend, used correctly, can absolutely change your life (or at least your Instagram grid). I’m also a certified book addict and an obsessive dog mom — my dog has opinions about my travel plans, most of them wrong.
What you’ll find here: short, high-drama trips (there is always drama — ask me about the boat in Seychelles), what’s actually worth your money and what’s a tourist trap in a nice font, and the travel hacks that let you squeeze a real vacation out of 4-5 days without quitting your job to do it.
If your PTO is precious, your budget has limits, and you still want your Out-of-Office message to mean something — welcome. Let’s make it count.
